Job summary

Parexel in South Africa is seeking a Clinical Data Associate II to support global clinical programs in a remote capacity. The role focuses on delivering high-quality data management across Phase I–IV studies, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance while partnering with cross-functional teams.

You will lead data management activities, coordinate EDC systems, develop study documentation, and support database lock and study deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field.
• At least two years' experience in data management within pharma/biotech.
• Knowledge of ICH/FDA guidelines, CDISC standards, GCDMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Experience with EDC systems; RAVE experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small clinical study or co-lead larger studies with moderate guidance.
• Coordinate data management activities and oversee CRO/vendor data work.
• Review protocols and specify eCRF design and data capture requirements.
• Develop data edit checks and study data listings as needed.
• Maintain data management plans and inspection readiness.
