Job summary

Parexel in South Africa is seeking a Senior Clinical Data Associate to support global studies from a remote capacity. You will lead data management activities, coordinate EDC systems, and ensure regulatory compliance across Phases I–IV.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop study documentation, and drive data quality and timelines. A BA/BS and 7+ years in data management within pharma are preferred, with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical research and regulated pharma/biotech environments.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Patient-focused mindset with commitment to data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Comfort with EDC systems, clinical databases and multiple tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small clinical study or co-lead larger studies with moderate guidance.
• Support multiple clinical studies while ensuring high data quality and timely delivery.
• Manage data management activities performed by CROs and external vendors.
• Review study protocols and evaluate data capture requirements (eCRF design).
• Collaborate with CRAs, programmers, study managers, and statisticians to develop annotated eCRFs and CRF guidelines.
• Develop data edit check specs and generate study data listings as required.
• Coordinate design, testing, and issue resolution of EDC systems per company standards.
