Qualifications

• Experience in the design of water distribution, sewer networks, and wastewater treatment.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modelling software and CAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including reticulation networks, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, hydraulic models, calculations, and construction specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring project objectives are met.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and condition assessments of existing infrastructure.
• Liaise with clients, municipal departments, regulatory authorities, and construction contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, SANS specifications, and environmental legislation.
• Oversee construction activities, providing technical support and resolving design issues.
• Mentor and guide junior civil engineers and technical staff on water and sanitation projects.

Based in Randburg, this role is critical for the development and maintenance of essential water supply and wastewater management infrastructure for communities across Gauteng. You will be responsible for the design, planning, and project management of water treatment plants, distribution networks, sewer systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. The position requires a thorough understanding of hydraulic principles, fluid mechanics, and environmental regulations governing water services. You will lead project teams, liaise with municipal clients and contractors, and ensure the successful delivery of vital infrastructure projects.
