Placements24 seeks a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to oversee planning and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects in Bloemfontein. You will manage water, sanitation, and road systems from conception to completion, ensuring delivery of essential services to the community.

With 8+ years in municipal infrastructure and a Pr.Eng or equivalent, you will lead teams, liaise with officials, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years in municipal infrastructure engineering and project management.
• Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA or proven senior-level experience.
• Strong knowledge of water, sanitation, road design, and urban planning principles.
• Experience with public procurement processes and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills within a municipal context.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and management of municipal infrastructure projects (water, sanitation, roads).
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and prepare detailed project docs and cost estimates.
• Ensure projects adhere to bylaws, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and contractor performance for successful delivery.
• Liaise with municipal officials and stakeholders to progress projects.
