Assegai Recruitment is seeking a professionally registered Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure design packages and support delivery across South Africa, Africa and Europe. The role blends technical design with team leadership and cross-region collaboration.

The ideal candidate has eight+ years in consulting engineering, proficiency in Civil 3D and BIM-enabled delivery, and strong commercial awareness to align design with project goals.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng.
• Approximately eight or more years of relevant consulting engineering design experience.
• Experience in civil infrastructure and site development projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design codes, Civil 3D and BIM-enabled project delivery.
• Strong technical judgement, commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery requirements.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines and regions.
• Willingness to support projects across South Africa, Africa and Europe.

Responsabilidades

• Lead civil infrastructure and site development design packages, including bulk earthworks, water, sewer, stormwater and drainage systems.
• Apply sound technical judgement to resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Guide project teams and support skills development and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate designs with colleagues across disciplines and regional offices.
• Deliver work in BIM environments, using Civil 3D and other engineering software to improve coordination and design efficiency.
• Contribute to proposals and work-winning activities.
• Maintain design quality while considering commercial objectives and project delivery requirements.
