Job summary

JVR Software is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design, analysis and delivery of complex structural projects from concept through construction in industrial, manufacturing, mining, or energy environments.

You will manage budgets, oversee technical teams and client relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement while delivering cost-effective, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc Civil Engineering with PrEng registration.
• 8+ years structural engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing contexts.
• Proven leadership of complex structural design projects and client engagements.

Lead the design, analysis and delivery of complex structural engineering projects from concept through construction. Manage project budgets, technical teams, client relationships and regulatory compliance. Review and approve engineering designs, oversee construction activities, resolve technical challenges, mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safe, cost-effective and code-compliant structural solutions.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BEng/BSc Civil Engineering qualification with ECSA Professional Registration (PrEng) essential.
• 8+ years’ structural engineering experience within industrial, manufacturing, mining, energy or heavy engineering environments.
• Proven experience leading complex structural design projects, multidisciplinary teams and client engagements.
• Proficiency in Prokon, Robot Structural Analysis, Tekla Structures, Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of steel and concrete structures, construction management, structural analysis and relevant engineering codes and standards.
