Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager (Civil) to oversee and deliver complex civil projects. You will lead site operations, manage teams, ensure safety, and maintain quality while coordinating with clients and regulators.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years of experience, and strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 10+ years of construction management experience in civil infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Free State.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct all on-site construction activities for civil projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and resources are allocated.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on all sites.
• Oversee quality assurance and control to meet specifications and standards.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and labor, building productive relationships.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, and regulators regarding site operations.
