Hospitality and Outdoor in the Garden Route is seeking a Senior Chef De Partie to join a professional culinary team. Starting ASAP, you will lead a kitchen section and help ensure top-quality dishes and smooth service in a luxury Game Lodge setting.

Ideal candidates possess robust leadership, organisational skills, and a hands-on approach, with a track record in high-end hospitality. Housing is provided for selected applicants.

Formación

• Experience as Senior Chef De Partie or similar in a professional kitchen.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure during peak service.
• Knowledge of luxury hospitality standards.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes per recipes and standards.
• Manage a kitchen section and ensure efficient service.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, rotation, and minimising wastage.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily operations.
• Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
• Assist with menu implementation and seasonal changes.
• Monitor portion control and food costs.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation.
• Ability to perform well under pressure during busy service periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description & Requirements

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards


• Manage a designated kitchen section and ensure efficient service delivery


• Assist with stock control, ordering, stock rotation, and minimising wastage


• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards at all times


• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations


• Supervise and mentor junior kitchen team members


• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures


• Assist with menu implementation and seasonal menu changes


• Monitor portion control and food costs within the assigned section


• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation


• Ability to perform well under pressure during busy service periods


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Previous experience in a Senior Chef De Partie or similar role within a professional hospitality environment


• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations


• Culinary qualification advantageous
