Qualifications

• 6+ years of catering management or event operations experience.
• Proven experience in managing diverse teams and fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong food safety, hygiene, and relevant legislation knowledge.
• Excellent budgeting and cost-control experience.
• Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and client-centric interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays in Bloemfontein.
• Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee logistical aspects of catering for large-scale events, including venue setup, staffing, and equipment.
• Lead, train, and motivate catering staff, event coordinators, and kitchen personnel.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation across events.
• Enforce strict health, safety, and hygiene protocols (HACCP) throughout operations.
• Manage inventory, procurement, supplier relationships, and cost effectiveness.
• Develop and manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure profitability.
• Serve as primary client contact and build strong client relationships.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues during events.
• Conduct post-event debriefs and implement improvements.
