Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Limited seeks a Senior Category Manager to lead contracts and procurement strategies across regional sites. You will develop category plans, oversee supplier performance, and deliver savings through robust cost models and should-cost analyses.

The role requires SAP/ARIBA experience, strong leadership, and excellent negotiation and communication skills to align global and regional categories with corporate strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s qualification in Business, Commercial, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• 5–7 years in a senior contract officer or category specialist role with team leadership.
• Experience with SAP and ARIBA.
• Strong knowledge of category management, contracts, and procurement.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
• Understanding of Incoterms and import processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; MS Project beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for delivering category strategies and contracts.
• Lead regional category specialists and monitor KPIs.
• Develop and maintain vendor and category plans.
• Prepare and analyze cost models and should-cost analyses.
• Draft contracts and variations; manage supplier scorecards.
• Produce monthly savings reports and ensure value delivery.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders across sites and regions.
