Job summary

WSP in Africa is seeking a Senior Engineer in C&I with ELV exposure for full-time work in Cape Town or Midrand. You will lead and oversee C&I design efforts, contribute to budgeting and BIM/CAD planning, and provide technical expertise across projects.

The role requires a BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering, ECSA registration, and at least 10 years of C&I experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and BIM360/ACC/ProjectWise is preferred, along with PLC/DCS and SCADA/HMI knowledge.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer or Technologist (ECSA) registration is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in C&I engineering.
• Project management, budgeting and scheduling experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with standards such as SANS 10142 and common contract forms.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and oversee C&I designs, budgeting and BIM/CAD resource planning.
• Develop PLC/DCS designs and SCADA/HMI systems for projects.
• Create industrial network designs (fiber, TCP, serial) and OPC/API integration.
• Lead tender deliverables, project presentations and client communications.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across projects.
