Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Buyer for a fully remote procurement team in the renewable energy sector. You will lead strategic sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of components and services for large green energy projects.

The role requires 5+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and supplier management, and ERP experience (SAP Ariba or Oracle). You will collaborate with engineering and operations in a global, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Proven ability to negotiate contracts and achieve cost savings.
Strong understanding of global supply chains and sourcing strategies for renewables.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials and services.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers globally with compliance to quality and ethics.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings.
Manage relationships with key suppliers and monitor delivery performance.
Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to inform procurement decisions.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs and ensure timely procurement.
Monitor inventory and coordinate with logistics for efficient supply chain operations.
Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
