Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or certifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, with a significant focus on international or global sourcing.
• Proven track record in negotiating and managing contracts with overseas suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of international trade, customs procedures, and logistics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a virtual, cross-cultural environment.
• Proficiency in global sourcing platforms and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of global market dynamics and currency exchange impacts on procurement costs.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Experience interacting with companies or markets related to Pretoria, Gauteng , or similar economic hubs, is beneficial but not mandatory due to the remote nature.
