Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Economics, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Education is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in curriculum development or leadership.
• Proven track record in teaching Business Studies at the secondary level.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and enhancement of the Business Studies curriculum for Grades 8–12.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with CAPS, international benchmarks, and industry trends.
• Create innovative lesson plans, assessment strategies, and learning resources.
• Mentor and provide professional development support to Business Studies teachers within the department.
• Oversee the effective implementation of the curriculum, monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
• Organize and lead extracurricular activities, competitions, and industry engagement opportunities for Business Studies students.
• Collaborate with other department heads and school leadership to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Stay abreast of current research, pedagogical approaches, and technological advancements in business education.
• Manage departmental resources and contribute to departmental budgeting.
• Promote a passion for business and entrepreneurship among students.
