Job summary

The Unlimited is seeking a Senior Business Project Owner to drive high-impact initiatives from concept to delivery in South Africa, Durban. You will own strategy, business cases and success metrics, guiding complex programmes across multiple business functions.

You will align stakeholders, partner with external teams and apply digital capabilities, automation and AI to improve scale, efficiency and customer value across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Strategy, Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience leading strategic business initiatives, transformation programmes or complex commercial projects.
• Proven experience owning multiple large-scale initiatives from strategy to implementation.
• Strong commercial and technology understanding with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

We’re on the hunt for a Senior Business Project Owner. Are you passionate about taking high-impact business ideas from concept through to implementation? As Senior Business Project Owner, you will lead multiple enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that drive business growth, improve customer value and strengthen our competitive position. You will take full ownership of these initiatives, defining the strategy, developing the business case, setting clear success measures and ensuring effective implementation.

Working across Product, Technology, Digital, Marketing, Operations and Finance, you will align stakeholders around a shared goal and turn strategic thinking into practical delivery. You will also work with external partners to lead strategic partnerships, integrations and fulfilment initiatives that create measurable value for the business and our customers.

This role could see you leading customer benefit programmes, developing new strategic partnerships, improving our app and website, or driving broader business transformation initiatives. You will need to understand both the commercial and technology sides of a project, using digital capabilities, automation and AI to improve scalability, efficiency and the overall customer experience.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Strategy, Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, Finance or a related field
• 8+ years’ experience leading strategic business initiatives, transformation programmes or complex commercial projects
• Proven experience owning multiple large-scale initiatives from strategy and business-case development through to implementation
• Strong commercial and technology understanding, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver measurable business outcomes
