Job summary

Pollock and Associates in Durban is seeking a senior, hands-on sales professional to drive regional growth across KwaZulu-Natal. The role is remote initially and focuses on building relationships with architects, interior designers, project managers, developers and contractors to win new business.

You will identify upcoming projects, manage opportunities from prospecting to conversion and account growth, provide technical product guidance and coordinate timelines and stock availability.

Qualifications

• Proven senior sales, business development or account management experience.
• Strong record of market development and revenue growth.
• Experience in building products, construction, architectural solutions, manufacturing, engineering or related technical sector.
• Independent, organised and able to travel extensively throughout KZN.

This senior, hands-on role requires an entrepreneurial sales professional who can develop a market from the ground up. Working remotely initially, you will build relationships with architects, interior designers, project managers, developers and contractors.

You will identify upcoming projects, generate new business and manage opportunities from prospecting through to conversion and account growth. You will also provide technical product guidance and coordinate project timelines and stock availability. Experience developing a regional branch, depot or distribution operation would be highly advantageous.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven senior sales, business development or account management experience
• Strong record of market development and revenue growth
• Experience in building products, construction, architectural solutions, manufacturing, engineering or a related technical sector
• Relevant relationships across the construction and design community advantageous
• Strong commercial, negotiation and presentation skills
• Independent, organised and comfortable managing a regional territory
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout KZN
