Job summary

Ioco in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who can translate complex business challenges into actionable solutions. You will bridge business and technology, define requirements and drive improvements across processes.

You will model AS-IS and TO-BE processes, create BPMN maps, write use cases and user stories, and support agile delivery from planning to implementation. A strong focus on stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of business analysis experience.
• Experience across the BA lifecycle from analysis to design, build and implementation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and supporting tools.
• Experience in business process analysis and modelling.
• Experience developing use cases, user stories and BPMN process maps.

Responsibilities

• Engage business stakeholders to identify needs, challenges, opportunities and objectives.
• Elicit, analyse, document, validate and manage business requirements.
• Conduct business process analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop current-state (AS-IS) and future-state (TO-BE) business process models.
• Create process maps using BPMN.
• Develop use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and business validation sessions.
• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning and requirements clarification.
• Work closely with developers, testers, architects and project teams to ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented.
• Support solution design, development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation.
• Manage requirements traceability and assess the impact of proposed changes.
• Validate delivered solutions against approved business requirements.
• Maintain business analysis documentation and support knowledge transfer.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation and operational improvement.

Qualifications:

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• NQF Level 7 qualification or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Certification in Business Analysis.

Your Expertise:

• At least six (6) years of business analysis experience.
• Experience across the business analysis lifecycle, from analysis through design, build and implementation.
• Knowledge and practical experience of Agile methodologies and supporting tools.
• Experience in business process analysis and modelling.
• Experience developing:
