Placements24 is partnering with a leading national telecommunications operator to hire a Senior Broadband Network Planner for the Polokwane area. This role centers on strategic planning and design of the broadband network, with a focus on expanding FTTH and fixed wireless access to underserved regions in Limpopo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of network planning, design, or engineering experience in telecommunications.
• Strong understanding of broadband technologies (FTTx, fiber, wireless).
• Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS) and network planning tools.

Responsabilités

• Develop long-term and short-term network expansion plans for broadband services, including FTTH and fixed wireless access (FWA).
• Conduct feasibility studies and site selection analysis for new network deployments.
• Create detailed network designs and deployment strategies, considering technical requirements, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting to ensure network scalability and performance meet future demands.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory affairs teams to align network plans with business objectives.
• Analyze network performance data and identify areas for improvement and expansion.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging broadband technologies and industry best practices.
• Assist in the tender and procurement process for network equipment and services.
