Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Bridges and Structures Engineer to transform transportation infrastructure in Randburg. You will design, analyze, and assess bridges, flyovers, and major structures, collaborating with design teams, contractors, and authorities to ensure safety and longevity.

You should have a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, at least six years’ experience in bridges, and be ECSA-registered. Proficiency in MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, and SAP2000 is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural specialization.
• At least 6 years in design/analysis of bridges/transport structures.
• ECSA professional registration required.
• Proficiency in MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, SAP2000.
• Strong understanding of materials and construction methods for bridges.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and design for new bridge and highway structures.
• Conduct inspections and condition assessments of existing bridges and structures.
• Develop design concepts, calculations, and detailed drawings for structural elements.
• Ensure designs meet relevant national and international structural codes and standards.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and contract documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project development and execution.
