Job summary

SAB is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to keep plant equipment in top condition, ensuring reliable performance through inspections and corrective actions. You will guide shift teams in safe, autonomous operation and support problem solving to identify root causes.

The role requires N6 or higher, a relevant trade test, 3–5 years in brewing/production, and leadership experience in an FMCG setting. SAB emphasizes safety, 5S, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include N6 Technikon or equivalent.
• National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) preferred.
• Trade test in Electrical/Mechanical or Millwright required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to as-new condition and ensure reliable performance through inspections and corrective actions.
• Coach operators and provide guidance for autonomous operation and problem solving.
• Partake in planned maintenance and postmortems to feedback learnings and opportunities.
