Job summary

SAB is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to sustain equipment in a brewing plant, ensuring reliable performance through inspections, corrective actions, and problem solving. You will coach operators and collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold standards.

The role covers planned, routine and running repairs, with a focus on safety, process improvement and adherence to SAP workflows. Prior FMCG maintenance experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• N6 Technikon or equivalent.
• National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Experience in a Brewing or production environment is required; leadership experience in FMCG is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support to shift-based teams during operations.
• Take part in maintenance planning meetings and clarify work required.
• Carry out routine maintenance activities and clean/inspect per schedule.
• Perform running repairs on plant and equipment and assist Shift Artisans.
• Apply problem-solving approaches to resolve issues and escalate as needed.
• Contribute to improvements of SWIs, SOPs and maintenance tasks to close loops.
• Operate safely and follow SAB policies; perform housekeeping using 5S principles.
