Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years solid bookkeeping experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of legal trust accounting principles.

• Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel, Xero) and related tools.

Responsabilités

A well-established legal firm based in Roodepoort is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Bookkeeper with at least 10 years experience to join their fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
• Handling trust and business accounts in compliance with legal accounting standards
• Preparing financial statements and reports
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Reconciling bank statements and trust accounts
• Payroll processing and statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, UIF)
• Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate financial records and systems

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years solid bookkeeping experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
• Strong understanding of legal trust accounting principles
• Able to perform under pressure and manage high volumes of work
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
