Job summary

Tanya Cowie is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper / Financial Operations Specialist to oversee financial operations across three entities from offices near Stellenbosch. You will manage accounts, high‑volume reconciliations, debtor administration, onboarding/offboarding on Xero, inter‑company transfers and timely reporting to the CEO.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, and strong SARS eFiling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Management.
• 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with advanced proficiency in Xero.
• Proven experience with SARS eFiling and statutory preparation.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and OneDrive.
• Experience using Trello or similar workflow/project management tools considered a bonus.
• Demonstrated capability handling high-volume invoicing and multi-entity reconciliations.
• Fast-thinking, highly organized, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing and executing payment reconciliations across three entities, including bulk uploads for weekly invoicing of ~400 clients.
• Compiling batch payment schedules and reconciling corporate accounts.
• Creating, executing, and managing debit orders.
• Handling end-to-end client onboarding/offboarding on Xero, including profile setup and invoicing schedules.
• Processing and reconciling inter-company transfers and multi-entity accounts.
• Preparing timely, accurate financial reports for the CEO.
• Managing aged receivables, credit control, and debt arrangements.
• Assisting with documentation for CIPC and SARS eFiling submissions.
• Collaborating with external accountants and auditors for year-end and statutory requirements.
