Job summary

HR Options is sourcing a Senior Bookkeeper for an established insurance company in Pretoria. The role focuses on accurate cashbook processing, supplier reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany balancing to support the finance team.

You will work with the Finance department to compile monthly management information, assist the Accountant, and ensure compliance with internal controls, using Xero and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Accounting and bookkeeping qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
• Capture cashbook transactions, process payments and reconcile supplier accounts; prepare journals and reconcile intercompany balances.

Responsibilities

• Capture cashbook transactions, process payments and reconcile supplier accounts.

• Assist with monthly information and support Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounts department.
• Prepare management accounts, departmental reports, financial statements and annual budget.
