Placements24 seeks a Senior Biostatistician to join its hybrid research and development team in Gauteng, South Africa. You will design, execute, and analyze clinical trials, providing statistical leadership to ensure robust, regulatory-ready outcomes.

Collaborating with scientists, clinicians, and data managers, you will mentor juniors and contribute to advancing therapeutic research areas, with a balance of remote work and in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biostatistics or related field.
• 5+ years of biostatistics experience in pharma/biotech.
• Proficiency in SAS and R.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial design and regulatory requirements (FDA/EMA).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with data management and statistical programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical expertise in the design of clinical trials, including sample size calculations and protocol development.
• Develop SAPs and perform complex statistical analyses using SAS or R.
• Interpret statistical results and prepare reports for regulatory submissions and publications.
• Collaborate with researchers to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the study lifecycle.
• Mentor junior biostatisticians and contribute to development of statistical methodologies.
• Stay current with regulatory requirements and statistical best practices in pharma.
