Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Biostatistician to join our R&D team in Benoni. The role focuses on designing SAPs, analyzing clinical trial data, and ensuring statistical integrity across studies that support drug development.

You will collaborate with clinical researchers, data managers, and medical writers in a hybrid work setting, applying advanced statistical methods and regulatory knowledge to generate robust insights and support regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.
• Proficiency in statistical programming software such as SAS, R, or Python.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.

Responsibilities

• Design clinical trial statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and data collection methods.
• Develop, program, and validate statistical analysis programs using SAS, R, or similar software.
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data, including descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and modeling.
• Interpret statistical results and generate tables, listings, and figures for reports and publications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the appropriate application of statistical methods throughout the research process.
• Contribute to the interpretation of study results and provide statistical expertise for regulatory submissions.
