Placements24 is seeking a Senior Bioinformatician to join a growing genomics research team in a fully remote role. You will develop and apply computational methods to analyze large-scale datasets, identify genetic patterns, and advance understanding of biological systems.

Collaborating with experimental biologists, you will design studies, build pipelines, manage genomic databases, and contribute to publications and grant proposals.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational genomics.
• Proficient in Python, R and Perl.
• Strong experience with command-line tools, scripting, and HPC environments.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning for biological data.
• Familiarity with major genomic databases and public repositories.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain computational pipelines for high-throughput sequencing data (WGS/WES/RNA-seq).

About the Role
