Job summary

AECOM is seeking a BIM-focused Mechanical Building Services specialist to lead Revit modelling, clash detection, and coordination across disciplines. You will uphold BIM standards, train team members, and ensure high-quality information models for multiple projects at once.

The role requires 4+ years in MBS and Revit with strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Mechanical Building Services and Revit
• 3 years in a BIM environment
• Revit Certification preferred
• General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice
• Knowledge of MS Office tools

Responsibilities

• BIM execution of Mechanical Building Services including HVAC, Wet Services, Process, Fire.
• Proficient in Revit modelling across listed disciplines.
• Proficient in NavisWorks for clash detection and coordination with Architecture/Structures/Electrical.
• Perform BIM upskilling of resources.
• Assist BIM Manager with content creation and standard enforcement.
• Perform Level 3 QA/QC checks on discipline models.
• Able to read construction documents and adhere to project standards.
• Develop BIM content based on modelling standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on coordination issues.

Here is what you will be doing:

BIM execution of all Mechanical Building Services disciplines including HVAC, Wet Services, Process, Fire:

• Is expected to be proficient in Revit modelling within all above-mentioned Mechanical Building Services
• Is expected to be proficient in the NavisWorks environment and running clash detection and performing interdisciplinary (Architecture, Structural, Electrical etc) coordination
• Perform BIM upskilling of resources
• Assist BIM Manager with content creation and standard enforcement
• Perform Level 3 QA/QC checks on discipline models
• Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time
• Ability to read and understand construction documents
• Familiar with design parameters related to discipline specific requirements
• Knowledge of AECOM standard modelling practices and procedures
• Maintain and adhere to AECOM and project specific filing systems
• Adhere to the project BIM Execution Plan (including defined project standards)
• Develop BIM content based on BIM Modelling standards
• Take ownership and responsibility for own work
• Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline models
• Develop constituent parts of the Information Model in connection with specific tasks
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common model development tasks
• Work within a team on single or multidisciplinary projects
• Maintain awareness of compliance to safety and quality standards and integration of design

Here is what we are looking for:

• Any relevant built environment qualification
• Experience 4+ years in Mechanical Building services and Revit, coupled with 3 years’ experience in BIM environment
• Revit Certification preferred
• General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Must be detail-oriented, consistent, and highly accurate in the work
• Good communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written
• Ability to set priorities in an efficient and timely manner to meet essential job functions
• Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be a self-starter
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Possess a strong work ethic
