Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Architect to join a fully remote team serving projects across South Africa with a focus on Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. You will develop digital workflows, implement computational design, and lead BIM strategy to bridge traditional architecture with digital delivery.

The role requires strong skills in BIM standards, Revit/Dynamo/Rhino- Grasshopper, and Python scripting, with excellent remote collaboration abilities and drive for architectural

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture or related computational design field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, with at least 4 years focusing on digital architecture and BIM.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper, and other relevant digital design tools.
• Strong understanding of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Experience in developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage advanced digital design workflows and BIM execution plans.
• Implement computational design techniques and parametric modeling for complex geometries.
• Lead the integration of new digital technologies and software into the design process.
• Provide technical expertise and training on digital tools and platforms to design teams.
• Collaborate with project teams remotely to ensure digital standards are met.
• Develop and maintain digital asset libraries and templates.
• Oversee data management and digital collaboration platforms.
• Research emerging digital trends and their application in architecture.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the firm's digital capabilities.
