Job summary

Capital PFS is urgently seeking a Bid Manager for our esteemed client in the energy sector. You will lead bidding, design coordination, and project execution in energy storage, PV, and grid projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 8 years in power/renewables, with experience with Eskom frameworks and EPC contractors. Local regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the power or renewable energy industry.
• Experience with design institutes (e.g., Eskom, Zutari), IPP developers, or EPC contractors.
• Strong project experience in energy storage, photovoltaic, and power transmission & transformation projects.
• Familiar with Eskom bidding documentation frameworks and industry standards.
• Localization & compliance with local regulations, supplier resources, and market pricing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver energy storage, photovoltaic, and power transmission projects.
• Participate in bidding, engineering design, technical coordination, and project execution activities.
• Ensure compliance with Eskom standards, local industry specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Support preparation of technical documentation, cost optimization, and project delivery activities.
