Job summary

Idbasesoftware is seeking a Senior BI Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable BI solutions, dashboards, and data models for enterprise analytics. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, reliable BI that informs decision-making.

The role emphasizes strong data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and collaboration in an Agile environment. Location options include Johannesburg, Cape Town, or remote work within South Africa.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of BI development experience.
• Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView/Qlik Sense.
• Advanced SQL and relational database experience.
• Data warehouse / lake design and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Develop semantic models, star/snowflake schemas, and optimized BI datasets.
• Create and maintain DAX/MDX calculations, KPIs, measures, and hierarchies.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using popular tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote BI best practices.
