Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join their data analytics team in Soweto. This role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights and delivering BI solutions, data warehouses, dashboards and reports.

You will design and implement ETL processes, optimize queries, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence development or a related data analytics role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Proven experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView) and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes for data integration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and reports.
• Create interactive and insightful dashboards and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize database performance and query efficiency for BI solutions.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
• Maintain and support existing BI systems, ensuring data accuracy and report integrity.
