Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager - Engineering for the East Rand to drive revenue growth, acquire new client accounts, and expand partnerships in mining and bulk material handling.

You will lead strategic sales initiatives, manage high-value negotiations, and collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to deliver tailored solutions that boost productivity and reduce costs for clients.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is essential (Technical and Business preferred).
• Minimum 10 years' experience in business development, sales, or a related role within mining, bulk material handling, or industrial engineering.
• Strong technical sales acumen.
• Proficiency in business technology, IT systems, and CRM tools.
• Excellent computer literacy with experience in data management and reporting.
• A valid drivers' license and willingness to travel.
• A valid passport for international business travel as required.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales and business development plan to drive revenue growth.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
• Present tailored engineering solutions that enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce costs for customers.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent tracking, forecasting, and achievement of sales targets.
• Lead high-value negotiations and deal structuring, optimizing partnerships and closing significant business deals.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, and project management) to ensure seamless execution of client solutions.
