Qualifications

• Matric and a Bachelor; RHCE/ISO 27001/PCI is a plus but not required
• High level of proficiency in Linux based OS
• Cloud Infrastructure (AWS) Associated Certified is a must have
• Containers (Docker + Kubernetes)
• Pipelines (Jenkins/Gitlab Ci)
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Bash, Python, PHP, Perl, Java, Go
• IaC experience with SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform
• Web Servers (Apache, Nginx)
• Load Balancers experience
• AWS RDS/Maria/MySQL
• NoSQL Redis/Mongo
• Replication technologies
• Networking OSI and AWS TGW
• RabbitMQ

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain procedures to comply with security policies and IT best practices
• Develop and maintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures
• Monitor systems via applications, log files, Elk/OpenSearch and sanity checks
• Actively work on building and migrating PayFast to Kubernetes
• Maintain configuration and build management systems
• Database maintenance and implementations
• Serve as escalation point to resolve problems in Servers and users' environment
• Work closely with technical team members (cultural fit)
• Troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively
• Research and evaluate new technologies for our environment
• CI, Testing and release management
• Firewall Administration
