Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or systems integration within aerospace is required.
• Experience in integrating avionics and aircraft systems is essential.
• Strong understanding of system interfaces and data bus technologies (ARINC 429, 1553, AFDX) is required.

Responsibilities

About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking entity in the aviation technology sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation Systems Integration Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role, based in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA , is central to the successful integration of complex avionics, electrical, and mechanical systems onto aircraft platforms. You will play a critical part in ensuring seamless interoperability and optimal performance of integrated systems, from initial concept through to flight testing and certification. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of system architecture, interface management, and verification and validation methodologies within the aerospace domain. This position requires close collaboration with design engineers, software developers, and test personnel to deliver robust and reliable integrated solutions.

• Proven experience integrating complex avionics and aircraft systems (e.g., flight management systems, autopilots, communication radios).
• Strong understanding of system interfaces, protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, 1553, AFDX), and data bus technologies.
• Experience with system integration tools, simulation environments, and test equipment.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA .
