Placements24 seeks a Senior Aviation Systems Integration Engineer for Durban to lead complex avionic/system integration across aircraft platforms.

You will define requirements, architectures, and interfaces, and drive hardware/software integration, testing, and certification activities in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, CS or related field
• Minimum 7 years of aviation systems engineering with a focus on integration
• Strong knowledge of avionic systems and protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, AFDX, Ethernet)
• Experience with hardware–software integration, embedded systems, and RTOS
• Familiarity with aerospace certification processes and airworthiness requirements
• Proficiency with systems engineering tools (DOORS, EA) and simulation tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Desirable: experience with safety-critical systems development

Key Responsibilities
