Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aviation Safety & Quality Assurance Analyst for a fully remote role supporting operations across Bloemfontein and beyond.

The position focuses on analyzing safety data, conducting audits, developing risk assessments, and maintaining the Safety Management System (SMS) in a regulatory aviation environment.

A strong knowledge of SACAA/ICAO standards, excellent analytics and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Admin, or related field.

You will be responsible for analyzing safety data, conducting audits, developing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze safety data, incident reports, and audit findings to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments of operational procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Prepare comprehensive reports on safety performance, quality metrics, and audit results for senior management.
• Monitor adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SACAA).
• Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions for personnel.
• Investigate safety concerns and quality deviations, contributing to corrective action plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety and quality assurance activities.
• Stay current with aviation safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging risks.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and promote quality awareness throughout the organization.
• Support regulatory inspections and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations and standards (e.g., SACAA, ICAO).
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
