Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng seeks a Senior Aviation Safety Inspector to ensure compliance with national and international aviation safety standards across airlines, airports and maintenance organisations. This role requires conducting inspections, audits and investigations to identify risks and strengthen safety performance.

You will review SMS and procedures, provide expert guidance to stakeholders, and stay abreast of ICAO standards and trends in aviation safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Inspector's certificate or equivalent qualifications is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive safety inspections and audits of airlines, airports, maintenance organisations, and flight training facilities.
• Investigate aviation accidents, incidents, and occurrences to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives to enhance aviation safety performance.
• Review and approve safety management systems (SMS) and operational procedures.
