Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive UX/UI Designer for a hybrid role based in Sandton. You will lead concept-to-implementation of in-car infotainment interfaces, digital clusters, and connected car apps, shaping end-to-end user experiences.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and hardware specialists, bridging on-site design sprints with remote user research. A strong portfolio in automotive or complex digital products is required for this leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI or related field.
• 7+ years of UX/UI design experience, with automotive or complex digital products.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
• Experience in agile environments and collaborating with remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and prototyping of user interfaces for automotive infotainment, digital clusters, and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard design tools.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs and maintain design consistency.
