Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Process Engineer for our client in Benoni, Gauteng. You will optimize and streamline manufacturing processes for automotive components, reduce costs, and uphold top quality. The role demands deep manufacturing knowledge and a passion for operational excellence.

Lead cross-functional teams, analyze bottlenecks, develop SOPs, and drive Lean Six Sigma improvements using Arena/AnyLogic. CAD proficiency and experience with automation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related engineering field.
• 6+ years in automotive process engineering.
• Strong Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
• Proficient in Arena or AnyLogic and CAD tools.
• Experience with automation in manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical and project management skills.
• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bottlenecks and optimize existing manufacturing processes.
• Design, develop, and implement new or improved production processes and workflows.
• Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to evaluate layouts and equipment utilization.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for all production processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless process integration.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance productivity and quality.
• Train production staff on new processes and equipment and monitor performance.
