Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer to join a fully remote team operating across South Africa. The role centers on designing, implementing, and testing robust security architectures for in-vehicle systems, connectivity platforms, and cloud services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cybersecurity with a focus on automotive applications, deep knowledge of embedded systems security, cryptography, and secure protocols (TLS/SSL, IPsec), and experience with ISO 21434

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, EE, or related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure software architectures for automotive ECUs, infotainment systems, and connectivity platforms.

Requirements

• Experience with security standards like ISO 21434 and relevant automotive security practices.
• Proficiency in security analysis tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanning and fuzzing.
