Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Systems Engineer to join a remote-first global team responsible for the design, integration, and validation of complex automotive systems. You will work from a home office, coordinating across software and hardware engineers to ensure performance, safety, and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in automotive systems engineering with embedded systems experience, plus strong skills in C/C++, Python and automotive protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering with an embedded focus.
• Proven expertise in system architecture design, requirements management, and validation methodologies.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python for embedded systems.
• Experience with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and UDS.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and development of advanced automotive systems (ADAS, infotainment, or powertrain control).
• Define system requirements, specifications, and interface control documents for hardware and software components.
• Oversee integration of subsystems for interoperability and performance.
• Develop and execute test plans for system validation (simulation, HIL, vehicle testing).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, program management) in a fully remote capacity.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
