Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join a fully remote team, translating design concepts into buildable technical solutions across diverse SA projects.

You will produce detailed drawings and specifications, ensure compliance with SA building regulations, and collaborate virtually with architects and engineers to resolve technical issues. Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills, plus 6 years of experience, are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of building science, construction methods, and South African building regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and construction documentation using BIM software.
• Ensure designs comply with national building regulations, standards, and codes.
• Collaborate closely with architects and engineers in a virtual environment to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare specifications for materials, finishes, and construction methods.
• Conduct technical reviews and site inspections remotely or locally.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the construction phase.
