Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Architectural Technologist to join a distributed team in South Africa. You will translate architectural concepts into buildable plans, produce technical drawings, and ensure constructability across projects from a fully remote setup.

Responsibilities include Revit/AutoCAD drafting, adherence to NB Standards, and collaborating with architects and engineers. A diploma/bachelors in Architectural Technology with a strong portfolio and remote-work discipline

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology.
Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist with a strong portfolio.
High proficiency in BIM software (Revit) and AutoCAD.
Excellent understanding of construction methods and materials.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications using Revit and other relevant software.
Ensure designs comply with National Building Regulations and relevant standards.
Assist architects in developing design solutions and preparing tender documents.
Coordinate with consultants (structural, mechanical, electrical engineers) for integrated designs.
Conduct technical reviews of design proposals and construction documents.
Manage digital project files and ensure version control and accessibility for the remote team.
