This critical role involves overseeing the architectural aspects of major development projects from feasibility studies through to final completion. You will be responsible for managing design consultants, ensuring design quality, coordinating with construction teams, and maintaining project objectives regarding scope, budget, and schedule. This is an on-site role requiring your presence in their Sandton offices and at project sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, exceptional project management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of architectural design, planning regulations, and construction processes within the South African market. Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural project lifecycles for large-scale developments, ensuring successful delivery.
• Oversee and coordinate design consultants, including architects, engineers, and urban planners.
• Ensure architectural designs meet project objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, local authorities, and contractors.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Conduct site visits and provide project oversight during construction phases.
• Manage the procurement process for architectural and design services.

Requirements

• Professional qualification as an Architect or a degree in Construction Management/Project Management.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural project management, preferably within property development.
• Proven experience managing large, complex development projects from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and South African building regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
