This role is ideal for experienced designers passionate about creating innovative and functional built environments. You will be responsible for leading design development from concept through to construction documentation, ensuring aesthetic quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to project budgets and timelines. This is a hybrid position, requiring a balance of on-site collaboration and design work within the firm's modern offices and flexibility for remote work. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, consultants, and contractors, playing a key role in project success. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual design and development of architectural projects, particularly in the commercial sector.

• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants.

• Prepare and coordinate construction documentation sets for bidding and permitting.
• Review shop drawings and submittals during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• Professional registration with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession) or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on commercial projects.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp, and rendering programs (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and building codes in South Africa.
• Excellent conceptual design skills, creativity, and a strong design sensibility.
• Proven ability to lead design processes and coordinate complex projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple project deadlines.
• Experience working in a hybrid work model and managing responsibilities effectively.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.
