Job summary

The Human Aspect is seeking a Senior Architect with a Master’s degree and SACAP registration to lead large-scale mixed-use and commercial projects in South Africa. You will oversee design development, produce Revit drawings, and coordinate with disciplines.

The role requires at least five years post-graduate experience, strong technical detailing, and client relationship leadership; travel may be required and coordination with councils for SDP and building plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture and SACAP registration.
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience.
• Advanced Revit skills (certification preferable).
• Proficiency in Adobe Master Suite and 3D visualization software.
• Strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Knowledge of site administration and project management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver large-scale mixed-use and commercial projects.
• Manage multiple projects from initiation to finalisation.
• Represent practice at project briefing meetings.
• Produce accurate Revit drawings based on client briefs.
• Support graphic design and 3D visualisation for presentations.
• Prepare and co-ordinate council submissions (SDP & Building Plans).
• Produce working drawings and co-ordinate with other disciplines.
• Attend site meetings, proactively solve problems, and monitor progress.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee construction.
• Guide and motivate project teams; willingness to travel when required.
