Job summary

Placements24 in partnership with a client in Kimberley seeks a Senior Architect to lead major projects and oversee the full lifecycle from concept to construction.

You will manage design teams, coordinate with consultants and authorities, and deliver contextually responsive architectural solutions for the Northern Cape region, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect with SACAP and professional registration.
• 8+ years post-qualification experience delivering complex projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multi-disciplinary collaborators.
• Strong design leadership, client engagement, and presentation skills.
• Experience with public authorities and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design processes for major projects from concept to construction.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join their dedicated team in Kimberley . This role offers the chance to lead and manage significant architectural projects, contributing to the development and infrastructure of the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from client engagement and conceptual design through to construction oversight. We are looking for a professional with strong leadership qualities, a keen design eye, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, contextually relevant architectural solutions for diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design processes for major projects, ensuring alignment with client briefs and strategic goals.
• Manage project teams, consultants, and contractors throughout all project phases.
• Develop innovative and practical design solutions, preparing detailed drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site analysis and supervision, ensuring adherence to design integrity and construction standards.
• Liaise effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders in Kimberley .

Requirements

• Registered Architect with SACAP, holding a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience.
• Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex architectural projects.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other industry-standard architectural software.
• Strong understanding of construction technologies, materials, and project management principles.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and public presentations.
