Job summary

Old Mutual Limited in Cape Town seeks a Feature Analyst to translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and artefacts in an agile squad. You will collaborate with Product Management, IT and SMEs to deliver end-to-end value, create user journeys and support reporting initiatives.

The role demands extensive experience in business/systems analysis, API design knowledge, and strong stakeholder communication to drive prioritisation and delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or systems analyst in a senior role.
• Agile experience and understanding of its principles.
• Solid understanding of APIs, REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON and XML.
• Insurance product knowledge.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence/MIRO/Figma.
• Experience in data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Clarify business requirements and translate into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to maintain the backlog and prioritize work.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and map user journeys and workflows.
• Create wireframes, process maps and prototypes to validate requirements.
• Support API and system integration analysis and reporting needs.
• Contribute to Tableau dashboards and data visualization initiatives.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.
