Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a seasoned Feature Analyst to bridge business needs and IT delivery. You will translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and artefacts while collaborating with Product Owner, UI/UX, and tech teams to ensure end-to-end understanding and value delivery.

You will facilitate discovery, design thinking sessions, and workshops, map user journeys, and decompose features into actionable items.

Qualifications

• Matric and relevant tertiary qualification.
• BA / IT qualification.
• Business Analysis certification (Advantageous).
• 5+ years as a business analyst or systems analyst in a senior/strategic role.
• Agile experience and understanding of the methodology and principles.
• Strong API knowledge: REST, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, XML, and API design standards.

Responsibilities

• Clarify business requirements and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and agile team to understand epics, features and value.
• Document API and system integration requirements and data mappings.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, and workflows to validate features with stakeholders.
• Support backlog management with Product Owner and prioritisation for business value.
